The closest technician is in a city 3 hours away so i can't get anyone. Bought Control4 via Best Buy because I already had a closed Bose system w radio, cd and dvd player and speakers that was only two years old and wasn't happy that Id have to buy new speaker(s) for my new 55" wall mounted Smart TV.

Best buy talked me into Control 4 telling me it would not only allow me to continue using my bose speakers and radio but also dim my lights etc for the same price as good new speaker(s). BIG MISTAKE!! Geek Squad doesn't service Control4!!! Ive already replaced a BlueRay player at my expense because the new one they recommended when all the equipment was to be installed by them, apparently wasn't compatible??

and due to the complicated nature of the whole experience, by the time I got Geek Squad at $100 to my place, all they could do is say replace it ~ the blueray player ~ and had to have them take it out because all my components are attached via the control 4. My control4 totally died apparently recently and Geek Sqaud said they don't service those and my only alternative would be to buy a new control4 and pay for installation and set up (again). Ridiculous.

Waste of time and money and something supposedly to make life better and fun to relax with down time has been a nightmare since I bought and had all the brand new components attached into Control4 in 2011. Several phone calls and no way to get it updated/service/anything at all.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $800.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Control4 Cons: Service aspect.

Sounds like your complaint is really with Geek Squad, not this Control4 company. This should probably be posted elsewhere.

Anyway, have you tried reaching out to the Best Buy corporate office for help?

Or disputing the charge with your credit card company? That will surely get Geek Squad's attention.
