Control4 - Control 4 SUCKS TERRIBLY.
I have this TERRIBLE control 4 system, for 5 years now and it has had a bunch of issues every day since the first day i got control 4.
I do not like it and it's to premature to have any positive rating. I have had so many issues with the Mozaex to watch movies that I have already downloaded.
In addition there equipment is very EXPENSIVE and it only last for a short period of time. In addition to all these issues already I have to spend more than 1 hour to just reset the whole system.
Not only that, but whenever I had problems and I called the control 4 people, they kept charging me for problems that they fixed for 1 day and then the next day it broke again. Overall, control 4 SUCKS TERRIBLY.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Not worth it. C4 is an example of paying A TON for VERY LITTLE.
DO NOT let an integration company talk you into it. Do yourself a favor and keep it basic with Sonos and over the counter network routers and keep your TV systems independent of the house audio. Find a sole prorprietor who knows who they are doing and integrate in a way you can understand so that you can troubleshoot and tweak on your own. I kick myself for getting talked into C4, and all these integration companies will try (proposing Sonos, Eero or anything you can actually get on your own at a reasonable price is an ANATHEMA to them and they will tell you they aren't good quality, it's almost fraudulent).
C4 is VERY expensive, has a horrible app that looks like it was made in the mid-2000's and is not user-friendly, is impossible to troubleshoot without a $1,000+ service call (I can't even update the firmware on it on my own, it's so overprogrammed), and it's a glitchy, outdated, and just a VERY mediocre system. Don't fall for it.
Keep your AV more basic. It will save you headaches, money, and deep regret that I live with every day.
I purchased a house that already has a Control4 system installed. The previous owner spent $50,000 on it.
Wow. The lights work but nothing else does: not the entertainment, doorbell, cameras, or security. We feel completely vulnerable with this system.
One small glitch and we might lose lights and have to spend thousands to get it 'fixed'. I'm in the process of removing it all and installing a more homeowner-friendly system.
Worst company ever. Your a slave to their programmers and their customer service sucks!
There's a reason this company is going out of business. Spoke to high level managers/owner, he is a total ***
I agree, Iโve had C4 for many years and recently added a super $$$ system and let my guys talk me into a bunch more C4 stuff, shame on me. C4 truly sucks, go a different route.
I agree. Expensive, requires constant dealer support, any change requires dealer. Stay away.
Yup sucks *** I replaced mine with Just Add Power products and OMG sooooo much better! Not to mention this stuff was in a commercial setting.....never ever ever ever never put home theater crap in a commercial setting ever!
I wasn't sure that I will read the complete article and post a comment here, but the depth in your writing forces me to read till the very end. Thanks a lot for sharing this great article, I really appreciate the hard work you have put in.
Will recommend your site to my friends for sure.
I have made a site about Apple iPhone 8 Feature, Release Date and concept. Please visit our site http://www.iphone8guides.com.
LOL. We are an integrator in Denver.
Mozaex, previously Axonix, is an *** nightmare. We used them briefly, and it was ridiculous. We can suggest some better solutions if you'd like.
We have tested just about every server on the market. You can find us at www.theavspecialists.com
I agree. I inherited a system in a recently purchased home and its plagued with issues.
Each time a "technician" comes out I get a bill and told that I can't log in to fix it /reboot myself. Great make-work program. And now they want me up upgrade to a new hardware system. Yeah right.
Forget it.
Sonos for music and a FireTV in every room will do the trick. Perfect sound in each room and all the streaming I need.
